President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky asked US President Joe Biden to help in the release of 450 “captive Ukrainians” who are allegedly located in the territories of Donbass and Russia not controlled by Kiev. The Ukrainian leader said this during a bilateral meeting in Washington. The broadcast was conducted in its Telegram channel by the Ukrainian TV channel “Dom”.

He also asked about “what kind of assistance the United States can do” in solving this problem. In addition, Zelensky said that he would like to discuss the role of the United States in resolving the conflict in the Donbas.
Zelensky also told Biden about the victims among Ukrainians during the conflict in the south-east of Ukraine.
“We lost 15 thousand of our best people,” Zelensky reminded Biden.
Earlier, Zelensky expressed gratitude to the NATO leadership for the fact that the Alliance’s armed forces are present in the Black Sea region. However, he said that the level of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO is insufficient.
