CHISINAU, February 16. /TASS/. Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed a decree on Thursday appointing a new government led by Prime Minister Dorin Recean which was earlier approved by the parliament.The ceremony was broadcast on the government’s page on Facebook (owned by the US-based corporation Meta, outlawed as an extremist organization in Russia), a TASS correspondent reports.Earlier, speaking before the parliament, Recean said that the new government’s program is based on the republic’s development as envisioned by the president and the Party of Action and Solidarity. Among its priorities, he named integration with the EU and economic development. The new cabinet will pay special attention to relations with Romania. The new prime minister also noted the necessity to expand relations with the US and the intention to support Ukraine.
