the final date of the message of Alexander Lukashenko to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly of the country confirmed Sunday by the press Secretary of the President Natalia Eismont. It will take place, she said, cited by BelTA, “as scheduled on 4 August.”

the Representative of the Belarusian leader explained that changes in the timing of the President’s speech did not happen. “As planned, on 3 August, both houses of Parliament opens its session. Deputies and senators will decide procedural matters, will discuss current issues on the agenda. And the next day, August 4, as scheduled, with a message to the people and the National Assembly will appeal the head of state,” said Eismont.

Earlier as already informed “the UNION,” Lukashenko explained that originally planned for mid-April’s traditional message was deferred because of the uncertainty of the situation in the world on the background of the coronavirus pandemic and what impact it will have on Belarus.

“Block of questions that we cannot answer. And if we answer, it is only with some prediction. And we need an accurate forecast. It today can not be given. So we need some time to be able to perform all the processes that occur in the country and abroad, and then already something to tell the people”, – said the President in the spring of this year during one of working trips to regions of the country.
