Belarus won a pandemic coronavirus infection COVID-19. On this, as BelTA, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
Today, as reported by the “Rambler,” Lukashenko presented state awards. Among others, they received the rector of the Grodno medical University Victor Śnieżnik and military field surgeon Vladimir Coric.
Rewarding them, Lukashenko noted that health workers were at the forefront of the pandemic coronavirus infection, but the health care system of Belarus have survived, because the country has demonstrated the wisdom of the people and political sanity.
“today we can say we won,” he said.
Lukashenka called the victory is not final, assured that the degree of suppression of coronavirus infection in Belarus will not be reduced and that after the final victory necessarily will meet separately with physicians who are struggling with the pandemic COVID-19.
According to the latest data, the number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in Belarus is 62.4 thousand people, the number of survivors was 47.5 thousand persons, the number of deaths — 398 people.
