Mass political violence in Ukraine has entered a new stage. The country erupted so-called “Safari” – she’s action “Put the candy” – in other words, hunting with the goal of beating of supporters of the party Anatoly Sharia. Who has become a victim of these acts of violence, who organized them and why the Ukrainian government actually approves of things happening in the country outrage?
“Patriotic” (i.e. very uporotyh) Ukrainian media write about the revival in the US fun Knockout. It is also known as “Knock white”, and the first reports of it date back to the early 2010’s. Maybe she really is back in fashion, perhaps (and more likely) that the Ukrainian media who took the openly racist position, just dug horror stories 7-8 years ago, linking it to current events in the United States. More importantly, in Ukraine at least in winter, flourishes like fun.
But to write about it the media is not in a hurry. But the details of vengeance relished in the enclosed Telegram channels and Viber groups.
Telegram-violence
The first reports of Telegram channel “Put the wool” date from the beginning of March 2020. Rather difficult to judge, since the read channel need to be invited and pass something like a interview with the admins and moderators (duty profile analysis in social networks, answers to questions like “Whose Crimea?” and the like).
Primary promotion channel has provided a video of “collision” of the patriots of the deputies of the party “servant of the people” Maxim Bogunskogo known antinationalist rhetoric and respectful attitude to the Soviet period of Ukrainian history.

About what do the creators of the channel further, we have to judge with reservations: the information in mirror of the project in social networks is laid out in doses, not to run into a ban. But judging by the Facebook account of the project in the spring, the organizers tried to work in a mini”Peacemaker”: posted contact information “jackets”, causing followers: “…write at least two words in WhatsApp, …Who is next – interview”.
However, even in the Facebook account of the project in the spring begin to appear much more aggressive publication. On one the authors of the video come up on the street to the guy and make threats to remove his t-shirt and sports jacket with Soviet symbols. Another teenage girl from Zaporozhye forced to kneel and wash the face with green paint (the “company” Zaporizhzhya adolescents in early may, tore down the Ukrainian flag). Additionally, one of the organizers of the “Put the wool” (Alexander wolves Demidov) lit up in the incident with the attack on ex-owlthe pendulum Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine for the reintegration and recovery of Donbass Sergey Sivoho.
In June, it became clear that it was all just a warm-up.

October 25, Ukraine will hold elections to the local councils. Due to the fact that by the time they do not coincide with the parliamentary, has developed a curious political configuration: the presidential party holds a majority in the Verkhovna Rada. Whereas in the regional and district councils it look like the President of Ukraine still is Petro Poroshenko. Given that for the first year of office and Zelensky himself, and his party lost about half of voter support, is obvious: the autumn will be hot.
In opposition Zelensky and Poroshenko has decided to interfere with the political journalist and video blogger Anatoly Shary. His party participated in the parliamentary elections, but the barrier did not overcome.
And here on June 17 in Kiev held a major rally of supporters of the party. Officially – against the inaction of the authorities against right-wing radicalism. But rather it was a kind of early election campaign with a powerful message to the voters of the South-East of Ukraine: Zelensky did not meet your expectations, he is not the enemy of radicalism, how would you like it to be.
During and after the rally, the radicals of the “Nazarus” and “Azov” tried to attack the participants. After a few days the organizers of the “Put the wool” actually announced the hunt for all the supporters of Sharia. “Safari” as they call it.

By the way, this is not a translation, all this was said in Russian. But I guess beating “cotton scum” issue not only shirts, but also linguistic indulgences.

On the same day, a veteran of the regiment “Azov” attacked a cell of party of Sharia in Zhitomir. Video beatings appeared already known to us telegram channel. On the night of June 25, was severely beaten by Nikita rozhenko – coordinator of the party in Kharkiv. A week later a similar attack recorded in Vinnitsa. Participants everywhere the same: “Azov”, “Nazarus”. In the winery it is installed for sure, in Kharkiv, they are the Prime suspects (though officially the party of “Netcorps” denied his involvement in the most high-profile beating).
All this gives grounds to assume that and “Put the wool” – the same idea that the veterans of this dobrobat.
Surprise politically motivated violence in the performance of Ukrainian nationalists after 6 years of war in the Donbas��e difficult. Although this is still possible. The violence comes on the system level and the best performers more and rewarded. Broke someone’s skull with a bunch of sister – UAH 1000, count, pocket.
Zelensky gave the go-ahead?

In the youtube channel of the Sharia has a video in which the representative of the party takes a comment on this Safari and terror against his political force at the Deputy of the “Servant of the people” Nikita Poturaev. And he says something like this “Well guys, first, you – the Pro-Kremlin movement (like, what are you like?). Second, you positioned themselves as soldiers. As with soldiers in war stuff happens”.
Poturaev – not just members of the Pro-presidential party. As a strategist he was involved in the organization of the elections of the party in 2019, leads the current election. And if in fraction can be observed pluralism, even on sensitive issues, the opinion Poturaeva always coincide with the point of view of the President’s Office. Ie, it is a kind of weather vane, a representative Zelensky, although not official.
Primary and sanction violence
The history already knows similar examples. Ukraine is reminiscent of Germany of the 1920-ies. The government then came to power after Germany’s defeat in world war I, did not like the growing popularity of the labor movement, and especially the attempts of the most radical socialists to take power by force. Came to the aid of primary – veterans ‘ organizations. In Germany today there are streets named in honor of German Communists Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. In the winter of 1919 killed them veterans from ruthless. The ruthless translation – volunteer corps (almost a regiment).
Liebknecht and Luxembourg, perhaps the most famous victim, but not the only one. Differently and could not be: the veterans ‘ violence was tacitly sanctioned by the authorities. “Perhaps someone’s got to be a bloody dog,” – talked about them and at the same time the German Minister of defense Gustav Noske.
In Ukraine to this kind of murder case has not yet reached, although the bad thing – simple enough. Otherwise, the situation is eerily similar. Veterans of the First world, there were few reasons to love the Weimar Republic. Today little reason to love each other in Zelensky and Poroshenko. At least, as the situation sees the man in the street.
In fact, both policy perfect for each other: polls say that the party Zelensky and Poroshenko in the elections taking the lion’s share of votes and divide it by two. And those who are in this division try to interfere, waiting for a “Safari” performed by muzzy permissiveness of veterans of the Ukrainian ruthless.
