Press Secretary of the Ministry of defense of Armenia Shushan Stepanyan has denied the statement of the Azerbaijani defense Ministry about the destruction of Armenian unmanned aerial vehicle "X 55" Thursday, July 16. She announced this on his page in Facebook.
"Azerbaijani defense Ministry has disseminated false information No drone of the Armenian armed forces destroyed and the attached information (the defense Ministry of Azerbaijan – ed.) the photo does not correspond to reality", – wrote Stepanyan.
She also added that currently, drones of this design in the Arsenal of the armed forces of Armenia do not apply.
Earlier Azerbaijani defense Ministry reported that Azerbaijani soldiers shot down a drone of the Armenian armed forces, conducting reconnaissance flights over the positions of Azerbaijan in the direction of Tovuz district.
The border conflict in Tovuz district on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan began on 12 July.
Yerevan accuses Baku of trying to capture a strong point in the border area. The Azerbaijani defense Ministry insists that the conflict began after the Armenian armed forces staged a shelling of their positions. Victims of the conflict were military of both countries.
Russia, USA, EU countries and several other States called on the parties to immediately cease fire and return to negotiations. Turkey, in turn, openly supported the Baku accused Armenia of escalating the conflict.RELATED NEWS:
