Turkey to impose a curfew from 1 to 3 may

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that, from 1 to 3 may in 31 provinces of the country introduced a three-day curfew in pandemic coronavirus.

Earlier in 31 provinces of Turkey, including Ankara, Istanbul and Antalya, curfews were imposed 11-12, 18-19 and April 23-26.

As stated by the head of the Ministry of health of Turkey Fahrettin koca, the number of cases of the coronavirus in the country has increased during the day, more than 2.3 thousand, the smallest number since the beginning of April, the total number of infected exceeded 110 thousand.

"We plan to continue to impose a curfew on weekends until the end of Ramadan (may 23). In this regard, from 00.00 on 1 may at 24.00 on may 3 declared a curfew. I hope for understanding our citizens the necessity of these measures. The more carefully we follow these steps, the faster will cope with the pandemic," Erdogan said in a televised address to the nation.

He reported the improvement of coronavirus in Turkey

"We hope that at the end of Ramadan will mark a double celebration. The number of cases each day decreases. The number of survivors has reached a tipping point. We have provided assistance to 55 countries to combat coronavirus", – said the Turkish leader.
