The capital of Bulgaria was closed to vehicles due to coronavirus

the Bulgarian Authorities have closed the country’s capital Sofia for entry and exit of road transport. This decision was taken in order to stop the spread of coronavirus.

According to the Bulgarian national radio, the decree approved by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, was declared at the initiative of heads of the Ministry of health and the national crisis headquarters. Authorities fear that it could trigger outbreaks in other parts of the country, RIA Novosti reported.

the Ban took effect from midnight on 17 April and will be valid until additional notice. It does not apply to the transportation of goods, emergency vehicles and delivery to the capital of citizens working there.

According to the latest data, Bulgaria identified 783 infected with a coronavirus, had died 37 people.
