Putin dismissed Deputy interior Minister from his post after the arrest of his subordinates

President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Deputy Minister of internal Affairs Alexander Romanov, a decree published on the portal of legal information. Romanov headed the investigation Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs.

Earlier, the Vice-Romanov Alexander Biryukov and Alexander Krakowski was arrested on suspicion of receiving a bribe of 10 million rubles.

In April, the FSB detained Biryukova, Krakow and senior investigator Alexander Bryantsev. According to investigators, in 2019, they have assisted in the translation of the owner of Optima Development Alberta Hudoyan, accused of fraud for $10 million, under house arrest. Subordinates Romanov suspected of corruption, are in jail, the Basmanny court of Moscow has arrested until June 1.

RBC Sources claimed that the decision to initiate the case was signed personally by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin. Lawyer Hudojka Alexander Sabada said “RIA Novosti” that his client never handed the bribes and Bryantsev only “allowed in the case of red tape” and were eliminated from the criminal case’s termination.
