The presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko took part in the opening ceremony of the memorial to Soviet soldiers near Rzhev. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the newspaper, at the meeting of the Belarusian and Russian leaders embraced.
During the opening ceremony they laid flowers to the monument, and spoke with veterans. the
“Rambler” wrote that earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared intention to discuss with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin’s intervention “of the Russian puppeteers” in the Belarusian election campaign.
