Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinian called for peaceful negotiations to resolve the conflict on the border with Azerbaijan, reports TASS.

“a military solution to the conflict does not exist, and there is no alternative to peace negotiations that meet the interests of all the peoples of our region,” said Pashinyan on Friday, July 17, at the session of the Eurasian intergovernmental Council in expanded format in Minsk.

He also reminded that the next meeting of Council to be held in October in Yerevan.

July 12, on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan began fighting. The parties accused each other of provocation and attacks on settlements. Azerbaijan has lost 12 military and one civilian, Armenia — the four soldiers.
