“There is a stand-by program, there are no conditions, no waiting for credit next week. And then there is a new cooperation program with the IMF, where there is a draft Memorandum which many of the things described so that, most likely, will not be perceived neither Ukrainian society nor Parliament. There will have to tough negotiations, and not the fact that they will lead to some kind of success”, – Arakhamiya told the TV channel “Ukraine-24”.

Explain that the Ukrainian Parliament faction “servant of the people” and its President, cooperation with the IMF does not directly depend on: the signature under the Memorandum put the head of the National Bank and Minister of Finance, and a letter of intent to the Director of the IMF endorse the President and the Prime Minister. They made their choice and are waiting for the first tranche. Therefore, it is unclear what kind of negotiations with the IMF now, after the fact, says Archamia, in principle not taking part in them.

Another thing that society brewing resentment among the conditions assumed by Ukraine, which for the layman are in the first place the continuation of catastrophic medical reform, the continued “liberalization” of the electricity tariffs and housing and communal services, the tightening of fiscal and monetary policy. With the rejection of state control over natural monopolies and the NBU, as well as the judicial and financial systems (one of the conditions of the loan is the abstinence of the Cabinet of Ministers from foreign currency borrowing in the domestic market in favor of monopoly of the IMF. – “RG”), with which the Ukrainians at this point in history resigned.

Another thing is that the ruling party “servant of the people”, which in October ahead of the local elections, we need to share with the President the political responsibility for the “colonial” Memorandum.

So timid and inconsistent words Arakhamiya is just an attempt to capture some special views of the party, on what does not influence, but which can come in handy when the time comes to carry political responsibility along with Zelensky.
