The U.S. government will be willing to consider using military force if necessary to prevent Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons. It is reported TASS with reference to the US special envoy on Iran by Brian hook.

According to him, the best guarantee for the absence of Iran’s nuclear weapons is “not a Joint comprehensive plan of action” (SVPD). He noted that the President of the United States Donald trump is determined not to allow the Islamic Republic to acquire nuclear weapons and is always ready to consider a military solution.

Earlier, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia commented on US policy towards Iran. He noted that the US goal is regime change in the Islamic Republic or the creation of a situation in which Iran is literally nothing to breathe.

In 2018, the US unilaterally withdrew from SVPD and imposed sanctions against Tehran. The US administration has stated the need to cut exports of Iranian oil to zero, and to impose sanctions against the country.
