In Ukraine, the authorities of the Odessa region declared emergency from the sunken tanker “Delphi”. This was stated by the head of area Maxim Kuts, noting that the decision was taken by the regional Commission on Sunday.

He said that the situation is deemed an emergency at the local level. Now it must approve the Commission of experts of the state service for emergency situations, then “the process of elimination of the tanker finally goes exclusively to the state”, – quotes RIA Novosti message Kutz, published in Facebook. He also noted that the shipowner will be obliged to reimburse the cost of the work and damages.

Recall the incident with the tanker “Delphi” took place in November last year. The ship, a strong storm tore off the anchor and carried it to the side of Odessa. The tanker was holed and ran aground a mile from the beach “Dolphin”. The accident led to leakage of oil. It was reported that the ship sailing under the Moldavian flag, but the Marine Agency of Moldova said that “Delphi” was deprived of the right to walk under the flag of the Republic over a year ago.

In Odessa have tried several times to raise the sunken tanker, but it failed.
