Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has written to Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s message of congratulation on the 75th anniversary of the Victory. About it reports RIA "news" with reference to the administration of the head of the Turkish state.

"I heartily congratulate you on the 75th anniversary of the Victory", – wrote to Erdogan.

The Turkish President noted that this anniversary marks the end of the Second world war, "which brought great sorrow to all mankind and claimed millions of lives of Soviet citizens".

"This anniversary reminds us how precious peace in the world", – said the leader of Turkey.

He also drew attention to how important the joint efforts of Moscow and Ankara to establish peace and protect stability in the region.
