the defense Ministry has declassified documents about the battle of Berlin and Reichstag building. Unique digital paper posted on the Agency’s website.

On the portal new section “the Final chord of the great war”, dedicated to the last days of the battles for the capital of Nazi Germany — the end of the Berlin offensive operations.

Among the documents — the reports to Stalin from Marshal Konev about the capture of Berlin, and Marshal Zhukov of the capture of the Reichstag. On the portal first published the documents from the funds of the Central archive of the Ministry of defense which declassified copies of orders, war diary, premium sheets.

Berlin offensive began on 16 April and ended on 2 may 1945. In the course of it, the Red army defeated the Berlin group of German troops and occupied the capital of Germany. During the battle for Berlin killed 78 thousand Soviet military.
