Unregistered Central election Commission of Belarus the candidate for the post of President of the country Victor Babariko asked the Committee on human rights for detention.

It is reported portal TUT.by.

“In the submitted report refers to the violation of article 9 of the International Covenant on civil and political rights as a result of unjustified detention of Victor Babariko and detention”, — quotes the portal words of counsel, Babariko.

It is clarified that Babrika encouraged the Committee to contact the authorities of Belarus to take urgent measures, in particular, to Express “request the state not to interfere with his participation in the presidential elections.”

Earlier, election Commission of Belarus has registered five candidates for presidential elections.

While some candidates, the CEC refused to register, in particular, Babariko.

June 18 law enforcement agencies of Belarus have detained Babariko, who previously headed Belgazprombank, as well as his son Edward.
