About half of Russians are ready to the second outbreak of coronavirus infection, according to “Izvestia” with reference to the research of Ranepa.

So, 45 percent of respondents expressed confidence that the second wave of coronavirus will occur this year. At the same time, 18 percent believe that in the near future to re-flash COVID-19 will not occur, and the remaining 37 percent were undecided.

According to the study authors, these results show that Russians are experiencing anxiety and uncertainty about the future because of the pandemic.

“the Russians are more inclined to play it safe than to demonstrate an optimistic view,” said leading researcher of the Institute for social analysis and prediction Ranepa Dmitry Rogozin.

At the same time, the alert level for the disease in society is reduced. So, the threat to health from the spread of COVID-19 considered a significant 27 percent of respondents. And increases the proportion of those who did not consider the cov as a threat to public health. Now there are 13 percent.

In the Russian Ministry of health did not rule out increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the new epidemic season of respiratory infections. The Department explained that contribute to the spread of respiratory viruses is the formation of new school, student and worker collectives.
