Earlier, the government of Ukraine has developed amendments to the state budget in 2020, which envisaged cuts in funding of a number of fields, and the creation of a Fund to combat coronavirus infection. However, the Parliament did not support the government’s proposed changes and sent the bill back for revision. In the amended version of the law, the Cabinet proposed to amend the state budget of 2020 which provide for the creation of a Fund to fight COVID-19 in the amount of 2.4 billion instead of the previously planned $ 3.4 billion. It was voted by the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
