The state of emergency extended in Kazakhstan

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on the extension until may 11, the state of emergency imposed because of the situation with coronavirus infection.

“given the current situation in our country and on the basis of proposals of the state Commission and experts I decided to sign a decree extending the state of emergency until may 11 of the current year”, — said in his statement.

According to him, the decision is dictated by the “current complex reality”.

Tokayev stressed that the task is to prevent a negative scenario in the country.
