On this day in 1935, was opened the first subway. For passengers earned 13 stations on the section from “Sokolniki” to “culture Park” with an offshoot of the “Okhotny Ryad” to “Smolensk”.

Since then, subway has grown to 15 lines (including the Moscow Central ring and the monorail) and 275 stations. In 2019, the movement launched two new sites with a total length of 17.9 kilometer. Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line will be extended to the North. Here build the station with the working title “the Street of the 800 anniversary of Moscow” and “Lianozovo”.
