The Chinese held sea trials of the worlds largest seaplane

Began testing at sea of the world’s largest seaplane AG600 developed in China. Its length is 37 meters, and the wingspan is almost 39.

According to Xinhua, “the winged amphibian” successfully completed a series of flights at different heights above the sea surface. Previously the aircraft was tested in a freshwater reservoir on the river Zhuanghe, Hubei province.

AG600 will be able to fly to a distance of five thousand kilometers at speeds up to 570 kilometres per hour and carry up to 50 people. He is able to stay aloft for up to 12 hours.

When fighting the aircraft will be able to collect water at planing speeds of 0.6 ton per second.
