a One of the new amendments to the Constitution of Russia prohibits any transfer of our territory to anyone. A true thought that in the first place it relates to boring history with the Japanese, begging for the southern Kuril Islands of Kunashir, Iturup, Shikotan and group of Islands Habomai. In Japan it caused a scandal – the situation escalated.

On the Kunashir Juzhno-Kuril’sk immediately after the referendum, appeared concrete the commemorative token on which are carved the lines of the 67th article of the Constitution. And 5 August next to the newly built rescue emergency center (the same will soon appear on the Iturup) unveiled a commemorative plaque on which is carved the words of Emperor Nicholas I: “Where Russian flag is once raised there that he launched can’t be”. By the way, those same strings are present on our military bases in Syria. In Japan, to put it mildly, very upset due to the fact that now Russia will not even discuss territorial issues.

While politicians and the Japanese press does not discuss the possibility of returning the territories by military means. Japanese military doctrine is designed to defend its territory from Russia and China, preferably with the help of the United States. In recent years, Tokyo is very concerned about the possibility of local conflict with China over the Senkaku Islands (Diaoyu). Now they are controlled by the Japanese – these uninhabited rocks valuable shelf on which found gas and fishing grounds. But it is theoretically possible to assume that at some moment another manual in Tokyo denied the brain and they decide to pull the Russian bear by the ears in the area of the Kuril Islands.
