U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo called on to punish Russia and China for wrong, according to Washington, the vote in the UN security Council, particularly the veto resolution on humanitarian aid in Syria. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The foreign Minister noted that in recent months, Moscow and Beijing are abusing their right of veto, ostensibly to support the strategy of the regime of Syrian President Bashar al — Assad’s “starve its own people”.
“They think that their partnership with the Assad regime would bring political and economic benefits that outweigh any price conscience,” said Pompeo.
In this regard, the Secretary asked “responsible countries” to capture the impact of such decisions on people, and then to remind the world who are supported by Russia and China.
