MINSK, 30 Jul – RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demanded that foreign humanitarian assistance was not sent for destructive activities in the country.

“We see the revitalization of our Western partners – of the various funds and associations for the funding of the so-called humanitarian projects. You know my position. Not a penny should be spent on destructive activities in the country. The use of grant aid from abroad should be under strict control”, – Lukashenka said Thursday in Minsk at a meeting on receipt and usage of foreign gratuitous aid in the country. This is the official website of the President of Belarus.

the Belarusian Head of state noted that the meeting will address issues related to the granting of Belarus of foreign gratuitous aid, as well as possible adjustment of the existing order of registration. “The administration and the President’s administration has prepared the relevant proposals. In order to reduce the burden on the budget, on my instruction, 2018, the government together with the administration approved a package of measures to attract assistance,” – said Lukashenko.

the President pointed out that the implementation of these measures has already yielded results – there has been a definite increase in financial income from abroad: over the past three years their total volume amounted to about $ 240 million.
