Lavrov said many Russians remain abroad

MOSCOW, 15 April/ Radio Sputnik. Around 35-36 thousand Russian citizens staying abroad and want to go home, said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in an interview to “Kommersant”.

“on the waiting list remain, according to our estimates, about 35-36 thousand people (plus or minus a thousand and a half), who want to leave”, he said.

At the same time, the Russian foreign Minister reminded that priority is given to those who were in the country after 1 January.

the Minister also announced that payments of financial support was issued for about eight thousand citizens. Previously, such payments approved by the government.

Earlier radio Sputnik reported that the foreign Ministry outlined a number of benefits to Russians abroad.
