Lavrov responded to criticism of the EEU

MOSCOW, 21 APR – RIA Novosti. Criticism of the EEU associated with competition over Central Asia, including from the West, says Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“there is No limit to perfection. But if in Kyrgyzstan spread opinion that it is necessary to change something (the EAEC), I do not exclude that it is a reflection of a competitive process, reflect competition for Central Asia, which is actively joined by our Western colleagues. We believe that such competition is counterproductive, far better to cooperate to help the Central Asian countries,” Lavrov said on Tuesday during a round table with participants of the Fund for public diplomacy support named after Alexander Gorchakov.
