In Kiev voted to rename the street outside the Russian Yuri Litvinsky, the press service of the Kiev mayor’s office with reference to the decision of the Kiev city Council.
The Russian street in Darnytsia district of Kiev, renamed in honor of the Ukrainian soldier killed in Donbas.
“Litvinsky Yuri is an active participant of the revolution of Dignity, a reserve Colonel (posthumously), the battalion operational purpose “Donbass” of the National guard of Ukraine, participated in the liberation of territories of Donbass from the Russian troops. Died from a bullet of the Russian sniper”, – reads the statement on the website of the city hall in the Ukrainian capital.
City Council reports that in Kiev decided on the name of another street. It will be named in honor of Ukrainian writer of science fiction Olesya Berdnik.
The source notes that “the renaming of the street there is no need to change the address registration in the passport”, but you can do this on their own.
Public news service previously reported that Kiev regarded the parade on the Day of the Navy as a violation of international law. The corresponding protest of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry gave the Russian Embassy.
