President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the choice between democratic and forceful solution of the situation and added that if to behave democratically, it risks losing the country.

Earlier in the meeting in Minsk that was dedicated to measures to support the real sector of the economy by the banking system, the President of Belarus stated that "intensified certain forces which begin to intensificate, rocking the situation in the country". According to him, managed to make some steps ahead and derail an ambitious plan to destabilize the country.

"In this situation, I want to remind you that I do not need to put the choice. If I behave, "democratic" to show that I little white and fluffy, I have a chance to lose the country altogether. The Belarusian leader said that he was neither as President nor as a simple man, "who all his life put on the creation of this independent sovereign state, will not allow anyone to break this country".

"For me there is no greater value than that of Belarus is a sovereign and independent. And the preservation of this country I go, for what it’s worth", – said Lukashenko.

He also appealed to "the lost people who do not understand that they are just trying to use" that they understand his position. "I do beg and I warn you: don’t do it, don’t force the government to make some response, to put it mildly, do not push us to this," the President said.

"Here the unconstructive position of the representatives of the private media, and Western… this takes train to respond", – said Lukashenko on the socio-political situation in the country, noting that at stake – the independence of the country.

CEC Chairman Lidia Yermoshina said earlier that the current presidential election campaign is the most difficult in the history of the country due to the large number of violations at an early stage, including because of the individual candidates for the post of President is not of the pickets for collection of signatures and meetings in violation of the order of organization of mass events.

Presidential elections are scheduled in Belarus on 9 August. June 19 evening ended with a stage of collection of signatures in support of nomination of presidential candidates. Registration of candidates will take place from 5 to 14 July inclusive. Then will begin the election campaign, which will run from 14 July to 8 August.
