Egyptian archaeologists discovered artifacts of the era of Ramses II, who ruled in the thirteenth century BC the Discovery was on a plot South of Cairo. Details told the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of antiquities Mustafa al-Vaziri.

“Found a few monuments from pink, black granite and limestone from the period of Pharaoh Ramesses II, as well as blocks of limestone of a later period. Each are carved hieroglyphics and images of gods. Among the finds are also preserved monument of Ramses II and a few statuettes of the gods of Ancient Egypt” – with reference to the expert RIA Novosti reported.

Ramses II is often called the Great ruler of Ancient Egypt. Came to the throne at the age of 20 he was able to elevate the country not only through the development of new territories, but also for his innovative approach to agriculture, and successful construction. The number of giant structures for various purposes during his tenure remains unsurpassed in the history of Ancient Egypt. He died at the age of 90 years, ahead and almost all its past and future “colleagues”. The final resting place became his tomb in Thebes, the ancient religious capital of Egypt.
