Cat Muris, the former one of the official cats of Riga, died at the age of 10 years. This was announced on his page in Facebook the former mayor nil Ushakov.

Cats, Kuzya and Muris appeared in the Riga city Council since 2011. It was then Ushakov, occupying the post of mayor, took their kittens from the shelter. So he wanted to draw attention to a problem animal caught at the shelter.

They lived in the mayor’s office as long as the Dutch held this post. The new head of the city was allergic to cats, so they moved to the premises of the Duma faction of the party "Consent" which member he was.

However, 17 Feb Kuzya and Muris were planning to emigrate from Riga city Council. This was due to the upcoming dissolution of Parliament. They had to move to the Riga office of Ushakov.
