Biden won the primaries in Alaska

MOSCOW, 12 APR – RIA Novosti. Former Vice-President USA Joe Biden was victorious in the primary elections (primaries) in Alaska, reported on the website of the office of the Democratic party in the state.

Originally, the primaries were supposed to go on 4 April, but in connection with the spread of the coronavirus voting was cancelled. The voters voted by mail, they had to send their votes until Friday.

the results of the vote won by Biden, he scored 55.3% of the votes. Senator Bernie Sanders, who on Wednesday walked out of the presidential race, chose to remain on the ballot papers and scored 44.7 percent. So Biden enlisted the support of nine delegates, and Sanders – eight.

Earlier terminated the campaign, Sanders said that his name will remain on the ballot in the primary elections in all the remaining States.
