On the territory of Russia launched a new format adoption, allowing to provide documents and to carry out all the formalities for the adoption of orphans in the family online. The introduction of such practices was due to the spread of coronavirus infection and its associated anti-epidemic measures, in particular the closure of orphanages in quarantine.
Under the new initiative be interviewed by the staff of the authorities, to demonstrate the living conditions and to get acquainted with the orphanages in the format.
Specialist social work and family placement of children left without parental care, Michael Pimenov said that traditional, face-to-face format of the procedure is more preferable, but the online version also shows quite positive results.
“overall a positive experience, but if no other opportunities,” he said.
The expert explained that the Department of labor and social protection of population, Ministry of education and health, as well as the CPS in April released a letter of recommendation “not to keep children in the institution” during a pandemic, and to transfer them to family possible.
“In different regions, this situation works differently. In Moscow, for example, created a comprehensive Commission,” – said Pimenov.
This Commission was formed to organize the selection of children families and Vice versa with the involvement of various specialists, including representatives of non-profit organizations.
Currently, as explained Pimenov, experts of bodies of guardianship are already working in standard mode.
