The possible penalties for insulting on the Internet can reach ten thousand rubles for citizens and 700 thousand rubles for legal entities. the bill proposed by the Deputy of the state Duma from the party “United Russia” Alexander Khinshtein, reports TASS.

According to the document, administrative penalties for insult on the Internet is proposed at the rate of five to ten thousand rubles for citizens and 50-100 thousand rubles — for officials of the Legal entity will be required to pay for the violation from 200 to 700 thousand rubles.

While Khinshtein said that the insult on the Internet at the moment falls under the General definition of abuse, and therefore suggested to equate it to public. “The Internet is the publicity in our digital life,” explained the author of the bill.
