Honored art worker of the RSFSR and honorary academician of the Russian Academy of arts (RAA) Tatiana Selvinskaya has died at the age of 92. About it reported in a press-service of the Russian Academy of ARTS.
The President of the Russian Academy of ARTS Zurab Tsereteli, whose words are reported, said that the impact was “passionate Creator and a vivid public figure”. According to him, the Academy highly appreciated the talent of the artist and her active creative position.
Tsereteli also expressed his condolences to the families and friends Selvinsky, reports TASS.
Tatiana Selvinskaya was born in Moscow in 1927. With 11 years she studied with the painter Robert Falk. In addition, her teachers were Alexander Tyshler and Mikhail Kurilko. In 1953 graduated from the Moscow State art Institute. V. Surikov.
During his creative life Selvinsky wrote more than 700 portraits of over 3,000 paintings, as well as three collections of poems. She has also designed more than 200 productions. Her works are in State Tretyakov gallery, the Museum-reserve “Abramtsevo” and other Russian and foreign art galleries.
Laureate of the State prize of Russia (1994), honorary member of the Russian Academy of arts (2012).
