Eintracht Frankfurt’s youngster Ansgar Knauff will not be influenced in his future planning by the change of coach at his home club Borussia Dortmund.

Contact with Terzic: “He called me after the Europa League victory and congratulated me, I was very happy about that. We are in good contact,” said Ansgar Knauff, who was loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt from Borussia Dortmund, about Edin Terzic, who replaced Marco Rose as BVB coach.

No early return: “As agreed, I’m on loan for a year and a half and will be playing in Frankfurt next season, nothing has changed about that,” said Knauff on Saturday in Halle/Westphalia, where he is preparing for the two upcoming games with the German U21 footballers in prepared for the European Championship qualification.

No thoughts yet: The 20-year-old offensive player was loaned out by BVB to Frankfurt during the winter break until the summer of 2023. There he developed into a regular player and was voted the best young player in the Europa League. He does not yet know what will happen after the loan expires: “After that I have a year’s contract in Dortmund. I’m not thinking about anything else yet.”
