It was really all about how little the Phoenix Suns had to oppose Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks in Game 7 when they were eliminated from the NBA playoffs. Now some NBA stars are in anger over criticism on a TV show.

Patrick Beverley has been in the spotlight on pretty much every ESPN show since the Phoenix Suns were knocked out of the NBA playoffs after an embarrassing performance against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Beverley, who was eliminated in round one with his Minnesota Timberwolves, had spoken primarily about Chris Paul. One comment that outraged some people was when Beverley called the Suns point guard a “cone” on defense and implied that Paul is a poor defensive player. Beverley said this in connection with the Suns losing to the Dallas Mavericks around superstar Luka Doncic.

Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Danny Green heard about Beverley’s harsh criticism and decided to put Beverley through his paces.

“People are after you too, Pat Bev,” Green said on Inside The Green Room. “You don’t play a good defense. You don’t stop Luka either Man’ called, ‘he’s too small’ he said to you and attacked you at every opportunity.”

Shortly after Green confronted Beverley about his criticism of Paul’s defense, the Timberwolves defensive man shared two pictures on Twitter and addressed Green. On one he showed the statistical evidence that he has a flawless record as a defender against Doncic.
