After the end of his loan to Holstein Kiel, the question once again arises in Munich as to what the future of Jann-Fiete Arp looks like.
Return: At Bayern Munich, after his return, it is unclear how Jann-Fiete Arp will continue. According to the “image” there are three options: contract termination, loan or 4th league. However, none of them seems to be able to lead to the satisfaction of all those involved.
Salary balance: The main problem is Arp’s salary, which is said to earn around 5 million euros a year. Hardly any loan club can afford that, for Bayern’s second team in the fourth division it should also be significantly too much. In this respect, a termination of the contract seems most likely. However, the contract runs until 2024 – a severance payment is therefore in the room.
Career break: The move from HSV to FC Bayern in 2019 is increasingly turning out to be a career break. The center forward has never played for Bayern in the Bundesliga, Arp probably had his strongest phase in the relegation season of HSV 2017/2018. In Kiel, too, he was involved in four goals in 24 appearances last season.
