Russia is gradually emerging on a plateau in the incidence COVID-19. This was stated by the Medical Director of scientific-educational center of Moscow state University, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Armais Kamalov.

He noted that the continuing increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus may actually be due to the increase in the number of tests. So the end of the epidemic may come soon, suggested Kamalov.

“We are already gradually to a plateau,” said Kamalov in an interview with RT.

Previously, infectious disease physician Valery beznosenko also suggested that the incidence of COVID-19 in the country are growing due to the fact that more tests done. In turn, a virologist Alexander Chepurnov urged to focus on the ratio of the daily number of recovered and infected people. If the first number begins to exceed the second, then we can say that the peak is passed.

In this case, the specialist admit that the peak of coronavirus Russia may be smoothed in the result of restrictive measures.
