To the laying of a conduit from the reservoir Taganskogo in Belogorskiy district, the military began July 10. The next day, in the Crimea arrived first trains with pipes. In total during the route used 32 thousand tons of cargo. Distance between Taigan and Simferopol is about 50 km. Given that the conduit is a bundle of 15 tubes, on the route they had to lay more than 800 kilometres. “The difficulty was that the route was rugged, with elevation changes, – said Deputy defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov. – To apply the water at this distance, 45 pumping stations, three on each tube”.

At a solemn ceremony of commissioning of the water pipeline to the group of distinguished officers, the Deputy Minister of defence of the Russian Federation was awarded the medal “Admiral Gorshkov”. The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov handed to the military 16 certificates to receive valuable gifts.

– If the capital is provided from three reservoirs, – said the head of state water Committee Igor Weil, now of five.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin confirmed that the pipeline from the Taigan to Simferopol will now build capital. This project was included in the Federal program of development of the Republic until 2024. Now the threat of water shortage for the capital of Crimea is removed, at least in the next 100 days.
