the publication said that the products Skyborg blur the line between reusable and disposable drone cruise missile. Created in the framework of this program the aircraft needs beginning in 2030 to replace aging reconnaissance and strike drones MQ-9 Reaper.

According to Aviation Week & Space Technology, one of the drones, the worlds Skyborg is a demonstrator XQ-58A Valkyrie.

In June, the Research laboratory of the US air force has released a presentation which describes the scenarios for aircraft Skyborg, which can be led by the F-35 fighter Lightning II.

In September 2019, the Executive Director of the U.S. air force procurement will Roper said that the fifth generation fighter F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II will interact with each other by a slave drone, equipped with advanced artificial intelligence system, created in the framework of Skyborg.
