The cost of accommodation in hotels in Turkey have declined by 20-25%. About it reports a press-service of Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR).

On 1 August, as reported by Rambler, the Russian authorities have begun to resume flights, which were suspended on 27 March due to pandemic coronavirus infection COVID-19. On this day it was restored including Turkey. The other day a formal reception was held in the framework of the press tour, which is timed to the renewal of the Charter program to Turkey.

In the course of it the General Director of tour operator “TUI Russia” Taras Demura said that currently, the country opened about 40% of the hotels, and the cost of housing is lower in comparison with August 2019 on average by 20-25%.

“In August last year, the average price of the tour in Turkey was at the level of $ 650 per person this year — 500-560 dollars,” he said.

Also the General Director of “TUI Russia” has expressed opinion that till the end of November, Turkey was visited by about 1.2 million Russian citizens. In turn, CEO network of travel agencies “Pink Elephant” Alexan Mkrtchyan expressed confidence that about 1.7 million tourists from Russia will visit Turkey before the end of the tourist season.
