They inhabit 569 species of plants and animals listed in the Red book of Moscow. Newly annexed parks added to the protected haven of 1.73 ha. So, today in Moscow under special protection taken 140 natural areas with a total area of 19 thousand hectares. According to the law on specially protected natural territories is not allowed any action that may cause damage to natural objects and inhabitants, – said Kulbachevsky. – For example, prohibited the entry of vehicles without a special permit, not to destroy and break plants, disturb animals, damage to litter the territory, to plant or cut trees, make fires, burn dry leaves and grass, to put stalls without our permission, and more. the biggest area of new protected areas is a complex reserve “Zelenograd” created in the eponymous district of the city. The new status will allow not only to preserve nature but also to save a favorite place of citizens – the Black lake. On 939,7 hectares of the reserve are two nature monument – “Goleniewski Creek” and “Malin swamp”, where there are more than 460 species of plants, including unique shrubs metropolis.

In the West of the capital near the ring road appeared in the landscape reserve “the Valley of Ochakovsky”. It is home to 12 endangered bird species, including corncrake and long-eared owl. After the completion of the upgrade of South Butovo half its territory – 70 hectares – has become a landscape reserve “South Butovo” ecological Park “Severnoe Butovo”.
