The number of Russians who go to the shops for food daily, has decreased almost three times. This is indicated by the results of a study of the payment system “Mir”, RIA Novosti reported.

According to the survey, half of respondents (51 percent) and purchase of the required products for three days, and a further quarter (26 per cent) once a week. The majority of respondents — 65 percent — are still buying food at the nearest supermarket. Another 18 percent periodically replaced with a trip to the store delivery, and fully commit on the online services only two percent of the respondents.

The least likely to go shopping the Russians from 18 to 24 years less than half of the respondents. While 61 percent of retirees continue to visit stores. And shipping is the most popular among respondents aged 25-34 years.

The questionnaire survey involved 1,200 people.
