The epidemic of the coronavirus can be regarded as “very useful phenomenon,” said Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov during a sermon in the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the blessed virgin. According to him, in hard times reveal the best human qualities, Interfax reported.

As an example, Smirnov led volunteering and “the desire to do something for another.” Thus, in his words, “selfishness is squeezed”, and people begin to understand “a very important quality of the soul.”

Earlier, as reported “the Rambler”, a novice at the Trinity-Sergius Lavra tried to commit suicide after a positive test result for coronavirus. After escaping from the hospital, the man doused himself with oil lamp on the porch of the Church and set himself on fire. The victim received burns on 90 percent of his body and was hospitalized.
