Efficient use of water is the main task in terms of its deficiency in the Crimea. As reported RIA Novosti, said the geographer Gennady Samokhin.
The day before yesterday, as reported by “the Rambler”, in the Crimean office of Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring (UGMS) reported that the main river feeding the reservoir in the Crimea, has dried up due to prolonged shortage of rainfall in the upper reaches of most major rivers, on which are located the reservoirs of drinking water flow.
Yesterday in Simferopol and 39 settlements Simferopol, Bakhchisaraysky district was introduced graphs of supply water, and the Chairman of the State Committee on water economy and melioration of the Crimea Igor Weil said that Ayan, Simferopol and Guerrilla reservoir feeding Simferopol, filled with 44%, 18% and 18.5%, respectively.
Today Samokhin, senior lecturer in physical geography and geomorphology, geographical faculty of the Crimean Federal University (KFU) Vernadsky, said the main task at present in this situation, rational use of available water, primarily in developing and maintaining low-water production. The second challenge, he said the direction of consumers unused water from natural reservoirs, third — purification and recycling of wastewater.
