The maximum fine for insult can grow from 5 to 10 thousand rubles for citizens and from 500 to 700 thousand rubles for organizations. The relevant bill designed Deputy Alexander Khinshtein, was supported by the government Commission on legislative activities.

The law appears on liability for insult to persons holding state or municipal office, in connection with the exercise of its powers. Fines for officials are provided from 50 to 150 thousand rubles. Khinshtein also proposed to introduce a disqualification for officials – up to a year after the first violation, and up to two if you re.

In addition, increase the fines for legal entities and will range from 100 to 700 thousand rubles.
