In the capital have resumed work on a comprehensive restoration of monuments of the Novodevichy convent. The venue was visited by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and Minister of culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova.

the Novodevichy convent, founded almost 500 years ago, is one of the most famous and popular monuments of Russian architecture. The architectural ensemble of the monastery, which includes 36 churches, houses, towers and other monuments, is the object of cultural heritage of Federal importance. In 2004 it was included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage site by UNESCO. The comprehensive restoration of Novodevichy convent is carried out on Federal funds, and the restoration of artistic tombstones — at the expense of the city budget.

“Thanks to our President, who decided on a complete restoration, the monastery is now experiencing a second youth, and life in the monastery did not stop, and liturgical life, too, continues,” — said the Metropolitan of Krutitsy and Kolomna Juvenal.

In 2018-2019 were restored and recreated historic character 18 monuments the Novodevichy convent, including:

eight towers Tsaritsyno, Naprudnom, intercession, St. Nicholas (with Carolina), Salina (with case), Josifovska, Cebuana (with the chambers) and the Baptist;

— the house of the Princess Mary Alekseevny, 1680 year;

— shelter Filutowski, 1871;

— the chamber of tsarina Evdokia Lopukhina, 1687;

— the chamber of XVII century Naprudnom tower (Musketeers guardroom);

— wards the end of the seventeenth century;

— the tomb of the volkonskiis, the 1830-ies;

Northern parts of the walls of the Novodevichy convent.

In the years 2020-2023 is planned to complete the restoration of 18 historical sites of the ensemble, including:

— the three towers — Shabby, Savvinskaya and Setunsky;

Treasury of the house XVII—XVIII century;

Church of the intercession on the South gate, 1625-1677 years;

— the chamber of XVII century Moscow tower (Musketeers guardroom);

— the chamber of tsarina Irina Godunov with Amvrosievsky Church, the years 1580-1590;

— the walls (Western, Eastern and southern parts), XVI–XVII century;

— Smolensky Cathedral (1524-1525 years) with frescoes of the seventeenth century;

— tomb Prokhorov, 1911, architect V. A. Pokrovsky;

— the refectory with the assumption Church, 1685-1687 years;

the bell tower, 1686-1688 years;

— Church of the Transfiguration over the North gate, 1688;

at the same time at the expense of the capital budget is the restoration of the artistic gravestones of the necropolis of Novodevichy convent. From 2011 to 2019 have been completed work on the restoration of 20 headstones, which are the objects of cultural heritage.

In the years 2020-2022 is planned to complete the restoration of 75 tombstones, including the grave of N. In. Gogol. Now being drafted.

In 2015, put in order street, adjacent to the Novodevichy convent, including the Hamovnichesky Shaft, Luzhnetsky proezd, street Usacheva, 10 years of October, Pogodinskaya, Large Pirogovskaya, Savvinskaya, Novodevichy and Luzhnetskaya embankments, as well as the territory of the Luzhniki sports complex.

In 2016 landscaped and green areas — Park “Novodevichy ponds” and the square of the 40th anniversary of the October revolution.

Starting in 2011 in Moscow restored 1439 cultural heritage. Work on 15 sites completed this year.

Among the important objects of cultural heritage of Federal importance that restore today:

the pavilion 15 “Electronics and communication” (formerly “the Volga region”) ENEA;

— the ensemble of urban manors Batashev (the building of the city clinical hospital № 23);

the Church of Peter and Paul in Novaya Basmannaya street;

— the house of Orlova-Denisov on Bolshaya Lubyanka.

as part of the restoration of religious monuments at the expense of the city budget in 2011-2018 years spent working on 85 objects, 33 of which — according to the program “Culture of Moscow” and 52 according to the city program of subsidies.

In 2019, the restorers have been working to 27 objects. According to the city program of subsidies to complete renovations the Church of St John Chrysostom Nativity monastery (Rozhdestvenka street, house, 20/8, structure 15).

Work also took placeand at such facilities as:

— Anna Church of the Kazan Museum-estate Kolomenskoye (Prospekt Andropova, house 39, structure 9);

— the Church in the Museum-estate “Tsaritsyno” (street Dolsky, house 2, structure 1);

— the Church of Elijah the Prophet in the Novgorod compound (street Ilyinka 3/8 building, building 2);

the monument of the grenadiers, fallen at Plevna (area of the Ilyinskie Vorota);

the Church of St. Nicholas in New Vagankovo (novovagankovsky lane 9).

this year is scheduled to begin the restoration of 41 cultural heritage sites of religious significance, among which we can highlight objects of the ensemble Donskoy monastery.

in addition, in the years 2011-2019 111 completed restoration works of monumental art and 426 architectural and artistic tombs and objects of historical and military necropolis, which is a cultural heritage.

In 2020 the work is carried out on 10 objects of monumental art 74 and art gravestones in the cemetery of the Donskoy monastery. This year has already resulted in the order of seven graves of the Donskoy monastery.
