An annular Eclipse of the Sun will occur on June 21 and will be a real gift for fans of astronomy.

Muscovites and guests of the capital will not be able to see a beautiful annular solar Eclipse which will occur June 21. This was stated by the graduate student of celestial mechanics, SPbSU Maria Baruch.

“unfortunately, on the territory of Moscow to the naked eye to see the Eclipse will be almost impossible, because the stage will be tiny,” – said the astronomer in an interview with “RBK”.

The astronomy of Saint-Petersburg did you not try to see something in the sky. But the residents of the southern regions has all the chances to carry out interesting observations.

“In the city of Gorno-Altaisk, where the Sun will be closed by the disc of the moon almost 40%, can be seen almost with the naked eye,” added Baruch.

Looking at a solar Eclipse without protective filters is strictly prohibited, like the astronomer. As protection you can use smoked glass or film from old floppy disks.

Annular solar eclipses occur when the Moon is at a great distance from Earth. To the observer it seems that the disk of the satellite is not completely covers the Sun. The crown of stars is still visible. This time the Eclipse will be best seen in Central and East Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, India, Pakistan and China.
