Moscow. June 24. INTERFAX.RU — the Investigative Committee closed the criminal case against the former head of “RusHydro” Evgeny DoD, accused of illegal charge itself the premiums.
“Confirm that the criminal case was dismissed. The investigation relatively quickly figured out that the actions of Evgeny Vyacheslavovich there is no crime and the case against him was dismissed”, — said the “Interfax” his lawyer Ruslan Koblev, answering the question of the Agency.
He noted that the prosecution of his client was discontinued in November 2018. Criminal case against the former accountant of the Corporation Dmitry Finkel was discontinued in 2019.
the DoD and Finkel was originally charged with large-scale fraud organized by a group of persons (part 4 article 159 of the criminal code). Later, the consequence retrained their actions on an article about embezzlement (part 4 of article 160 of the criminal code). As believed a consequence, DoD and Finkel together with unknown persons committed theft of property of “RusHydro” in especially large size.
the guilt of the defendants not guilty. The defence and the defendants themselves insisted that their actions is not a crime. Currently cleared of all charges.
According to the lawyer, additional investigation concerning the DoD is not, as the Investigative Committee appealed against the refusal of the Prosecutor General’s office to approve the indictment.
At the beginning of September 2017, it became known that the Prosecutor General’s office back in the UK the criminal case for additional investigation and remediation. The grounds were contradictions in the financial examinations that were conducted by the investigation and by the defense, said the publication of the newspaper “Kommersant”.
